An exquisitely rendered buckle of the Victorian era. Buckles were often used in Victorian jewelry as symbols of fidelity, love, commitment and strength. Given as tokens of love signifying unbreakable bonds this would be a lovely ring to gift to a love in one's life. The ring is unusual in that the row of antique rose cut diamonds continues all the way around the ring and the cobalt blue enamel also surrounds the entire ring. It is in impeccable condition. Clearly taken care of in a most careful way. The ring is 18KT Yellow Gold and is a size 7.75. I would hesitate to size this ring because of the enamel being all the way around. Ring has been tested as 18KT. Clearly crafted with the utmost of care and skill. A beautiful reflection of the sentimentality of the Victorians. English in origin.
