A rich reflection of English history in this 1912 Gold Half Sovereign coin of King George V. This coin was circulated during his reign which lasted until his death in 1936. Many of these coins were melted to pay for war debt and therefore not many of these coins remain. The obverse of the coin has King George in bust profile facing left and the reverse of the coin has the iconic image of George Slaying the Dragon by Italian engraver Benedetto Pistrucci. Great on its own around the neck or layered with other chains and necklaces. Equally as interesting suspended from a link bracelet.
