Texture and movement makes this bracelet a true reflection of the Victorian period. Gate bracelets were a sentimental piece of jewelry often given when a lover would leave for a period of time. The heart padlock was the heart being locked until their return and the links were reminiscent of the manor "gates" being left behind. This lovely rosy hued example has links that are hinged and have interesting basket weave spacers in between each 4 row link. Large links are 9mm wide and the polished padlock measures 19mm by 12mm.
