An intricate and beautiful example of the period of jewelry making that is known as Victorian Etruscan Revival. This style was made popular because of the archaeological discoveries made in the 19th Century in Italy. Jewelry making became a reflection of the artifacts discovered. This exquisite bangle has the soft patina of matte gold patterned like a checkerboard in woven gold with the added detail of granulation(small balls set on either gallery of the bracelet). Also showcased is the finest of braided wirework on both sides. No detail was overlooked in this piece. The original safety chain is in place and the slide closure is secure with a snap. The rear of the bracelet is simply polished yellow gold with a hint of rose. Immaculate condition this bracelet was gently worn. Interior circumference is 6.5 inches. Suitable for a smaller wrist. 10.4 grams 9KT. English in origin. Beautiful as a stand alone bracelet or equally good in a stack of bangles and links
