The celestial theme in Victorian jewelry was seen over and over again in brooches and earrings and bracelets. This 18KT Yellow Gold crescent and star was formerly a brooch which converted beautifully to a necklace. The central detail of the star has a sparkling old euro diamond and the star points are detailed with creamy split pearls and fine gold ball detail.
On the outside of the star sits a finely detailed crescent with a zig-zag border and 2 rows of split pearls adding a delicate accent to the crescent. Hard to find the 2 motifs of stars and crescents in one piece. This piece has been converted with a modern 18KT yellow gold cable chain that has an adjustable back allowing it to go from less than 16 inches to 18 inches. Marked 18CT.
